Now imagine you could go visit the distant future. See the evolution of mankind. Witness the creation of Artificial intelligence. Watch Dyson spheres around the our planet.

There are countless people who ask: is time travel possible? Despite the fact there are lots of time travel theories, no one really knows. The fact is, we don’t see around an endless supply of time travelers from the future (which should be the case if time travel were possible, no?). Or maybe they are here, but are just hiding…

Since we don’t have time travel machines, for now, we have to stick to fiction. Consequently, time travel movies are an extremely popular sub-genre of sci-fi. Just visit IMDB and you’ll see that so many movies with a time travel element have been extremely successful: the Back to the Future trilogy, The Butterfly Effect, Prime, Donnie Darko, The Terminator Series and countless others.

As one who finds the notion of time travel appealing and wishes he could journey back and forth in time (with or without a Delorean), I don’t know whether this will ever be possible. But at least until then we’ll have plenty of great watching films and reading novels!
